INFM and Taylor's Music Store and Studios Announce a Collaboration

Piano breaking apart

If Not for Music (INFM) and Taylor's Music Store and Studios in West Chester, PA, have announced a comprehensive collaboration. At a recent meeting between INFM Co-Founder Dr. Roger Mustalish and Taylor's owner Len Doyle, the parties agreed to work together to advance the mission of INFM in the following areas:

Instrument Donations

INFM receives a variety of donated instruments and accessories, from electronic keyboards, wind instruments and stringed instruments.  As part of this agreement, Taylor's will assess each donation, determine if refurbishment is needed, and conduct the repairs as warranted.  Taylor's and INFM will then identify a suitable recipient of the instrument.  This effort is in direct support of our mission area of giving the Gift of Music to aspiring musicians. "This is a key collaboration for us," said Mustalish.  "We've needed a reputable vendor to assess and repair donated instruments and we are thrilled that Taylor's has agreed to provide this critical service," he added.

Music Lessons

INFM and Taylor's will also work together to identify aspiring musicians in need of support with music lessons. Taylor's agreed to work with their large array of instructors to identify opportunities for us to address our mission area of giving the Gift of Learning.

Community Music Events

Finally, INFM and Taylor's will cooperate to identify opportunities for us to host West Chester-based community music events that would showcase emerging musicians to entertain the public while enhancing their performance skills.  A similar event, in conjunction with East Fallowfield Township, was held in April 2024, with great success.

We are also excited to announce that Len Doyle will join our President's Advisory Council!  Len Doyle said of the collaboration, "We welcome the opportunity to work with If Not for Music.  We share the same goals and passion for music and can bring over 90 years of expertise to the endeavor."  Mustalish noted, "Strategic partnerships are key to the success of INFM. We couldn't be more thrilled to be working with Len and his team at Taylor's".
